Privacy policy

Last change: 7 October 2026

This policy is for the AuxPipe app for Windows and for the website auxpipe.com. NieveSoft makes the two. In short: AuxPipe has no account, no analytics and no advertising, and it does not record your audio.

Your audio

AuxPipe reads the sound of the app that you select and the sound of your microphone. It mixes them in the memory of your computer and writes the mix to the virtual audio cable that you select.

AuxPipe does not record your audio, does not save it to a file and does not send it over the internet. The app that reads the cable, for example Discord or Zoom, receives the mix. The privacy policy of that app applies to what it does with the mix.

Data that stays on your computer

AuxPipe saves your settings in a file in your Windows user profile, in the folder AppData\Roaming\AuxPipe. The settings are your audio devices, your source, the address of your radio station, your volumes, your shortcuts and your language.

If AuxPipe stops because of an error, it writes the time, the version of the app and the error message to the file crash.log in the same folder. AuxPipe does not send this file. You can send it to us if you ask for help.

If you let AuxPipe rename the virtual cable, it keeps the original name in the folder ProgramData\AuxPipe, so that it can put the name back. If you let AuxPipe start with Windows, it adds one entry to the Windows registry.

None of this data leaves your computer. To remove it, delete the two folders.

Internet radio

AuxPipe connects to the internet only when you play a radio station. It connects to the address of the station that you select, and to no other address.

Like each web server, the server of the station receives your IP address. AuxPipe also sends its name and its version. It sends nothing else about you or your computer. The operator of the station decides what the server keeps.

No analytics, no account

AuxPipe has no account and no sign-in. It contains no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. It does not send reports about errors or about how you use the app.

Steam

You buy, install and update AuxPipe through Steam. Valve operates Steam, and the Steam Privacy Policy applies to your Steam account, your purchase and your use of Steam. AuxPipe does not read your Steam account.

This website

auxpipe.com sets no cookies, and it has no analytics, no advertising and no forms. It loads nothing from other sites.

The site saves one value in the local storage of your browser: the language that you select. This value stays in your browser.

The site comes to you through Cloudflare. To deliver the pages and to stop attacks, Cloudflare and our server process the data that each browser sends, for example your IP address and the type of your browser.

The site has links to Steam, to VB-Audio and to NieveSoft. Each of those sites has its own privacy policy.

Changes

If AuxPipe or this website changes what it does with data, we change this policy and the date at the top of the page.
